Seldovia, AK
Kachemak Bay
Because, it looked like a charming place to get hitched!
Seldovia is a city in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, United States. Its population was 255 at the 2010 census. It is located along Kachemak Bay southwest of Homer. There is no road system connecting the town to other communities, so all travel to Seldovia is by airplane or boat. We will be spread between two nearby locations and join together for a full day of exploration and celebration.
The Seldovia Village
A compact, fisherman’s village with waterfront dining and a rugged, historic boardwalk. The beach is an excellent place for wildlife sightings, beachcombing, or spotting eagles, seabirds and otters.
At low tide, you can explore the sea life among the rocks, and on a clear day the views of Mt Redoubt & Mt Iliamna are stunning. travelalaska.com
Between Beaches
Between Beaches is a small group of rustic cabins on the McDonald spit just outside of the village. Our host (AirBNB) Kristi, a lifelong Alaskan was raised in a log cabin by her pioneering parents who came to the “Last Frontier” in 1955. She has been working to build a serene, private, and authentic Alaskan experience offering all sorts of activities for us to choose from. betweenbeaches.com
